To piggyback off what Zoey said, YES, definitely make your own site. Add whatever you want to it. The best thing to do is to just start and don't overthink it. HTML and whatnot can seem daunting when you first get into it but it's really simple once you get it.

You have total freedom over what goes on it and nobody can tell you any different. That's the best part!

Exciting! Please make a website if you can! They're very fun and like you said, better than a Carrd or LinkTree (although I love seeing carrds too! They still share the same creative passion and artistic integrity as regular personal websites. I used them when I was 14). Share here if you get around to it. I recommend Neocities, they have a cute little tutorial page too.

Yeah I noticed those backslashes and just fixed them. The problem was using mysqli_real_escape_string before binding params for SQL, so they were literally being inserted into the database, then displayed as part of the string when fetching.

I usually go for Saturn conversion (not the sloppily put together one with weird assets but gathering around other mods), i love lost game prototypes and alternate timeline ARGs like those Super Mario 64 Beta Archives.
